Enrolled Agent/Certified Public Accountant

Need flexibility but still want a challenging career in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Enrolled Agent to supplement our financial planning services in our Jacksonville office. During tax season, the firm prepares 150-200 personal returns. Outside of tax season, you’ll be in the office 10-20 hours a week doing tax planning and projections for clients.

Experience and Credentials:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

-Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent license required

-Minimum of 10 years working in a tax and accounting firm, or family office

Skills and Requirements:

-In-depth knowledge of current tax law.

-Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team-based, collaborative environment.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and fellow team-members.

-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships; works effectively as both a team member and an individual contributor.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint) and specialty tax and accounting software.

-Excellent time management, project management, and analytical skills with a focus on managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines and immediate needs, and resolving complex problems.

-Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving, and tax research skills.

-Demonstrates ability to prepare and detail review individual and business entity tax returns

-Maintains flexibility to appropriately prioritize and execute to meet client and firm needs and support peak volumes and aggressive deadlines.

-Maintains client confidentiality and safeguards client and firm data; maintains high ethical standards in all practices.

-Professional and positive demeanor, superb work ethic, high level of personal ethics and integrity.

-Understanding of CCH Axcess tax software is preferred, but not required.
